The monthly all-level club/birthday rides have been very popular and we want to keep them going year-round. To do that, we need volunteers. You can sign up as an individual volunteer and we will partner you with others to make a three person team, or if you have 1 to 3 riders you want to work with, register them as "guests" so we know you want to work together.
Important Note. We are NOT looking for people to help out every single month. We are looking for enough volunteers for every ride level so volunteers could host two rides per year. To fill the calendar we need approximately15 volunteers per ride level, A, B, C, and D. Fifteen volunteers would provide five groups of three ride hosts working as a team for two rides per year. (Yes, that's only 10 rides but in December and January club leadership leads the rides)
What's required? Other than going on the ride, there is knowing the route and being willing to help a rider in need should someone have a flat. Both of those are things most of us do out of habit. You can also volunteer as a SAG driver.
Right now, we particularly need ride hosts for the February and March rides to know those are covered. The February rides will head out along Auberry Road to 168, Wellbarn, or Prather (the ride hosts choose the route) with Millerton Store being the turnaround point for the B ride. The March rides will head out along Friant road to either BOM or SVS (the ride hosts choose the route) with Friant Shell being the turnaround for the B level ride.
